January Classes

Wednesday classes will start on January 14th, Monday classes will start on January 19th.

New on the schedule is the Belly Dance Props class

This class is suitable for dancers of all abilities & ages (age 12 - adults). No previous experience with bellydance necessary. The focus will be on veil, tray balancing, skirt dancing & poi. Learn to complement your dance with these accessories or just learn how to do them on their own. If you are an experienced dancer ‘props’ will give you a new avenue to explore. If you have never belly danced before ‘props’ will provide you with a taste of what is in store.

Child/Parent - This class is for Parents with children between 6 & 10. Focus is on travelling movements & those suitable for children. Some veil work. Fee is $70 for both parent & child.

Beginner Basics - Adult class (16 & over) Want to learn new moves you can use on any dance floor? The focus of this class is basic movements, posture and technique. Learn to communicate with your body and string a few movements together into combinations. This class is designed for the beginner who has never taken bellydance before. Come out and have some fun. Class size is limited. (This class meets once a week, on Monday OR Wednesday, twice a week counts as TWO classes)

Beyond Beginner- Combos & Choreography. This course is open to anyone with a basic understanding of bellydance moves and terminology. We will focus on learning a choreography to a specific piece of music. Some advanced movements. These choreographies may later be used for group performance opportunities - commitment to performance is not mandatory to attend classes.

Revisit/Rehearse - already enrolled in the choreography class? This time period is used to keep current choreographies fresh in our minds & ready for performance. Some manipulation of existing choreographies possible. **FREE to choreography students **

Fees $65 paid in advance for a 6 week session, $70 if paid on the first night.

Want to take more than one class? Discount is available for one person enrolled in more than one class in the same session. Two classes: $110 for 6 weeks (classes can be Monday & Wednesday) More? - Talk to me.
