News for October, next classes start - Monday October 6.

*MOVING INFO - some time in October the Martial Arts Studio will be moving & we will be moving with them. The NEW location is 49 Talbot Street N. upstairs - above Crafty Candles. There is street parking and the public lot behind the Bargain Shop. It should be easier to find, with a main street entrance. I’m told the new location is simply beautiful.Since the floors & mirrors belong to the Martial Arts Studio - they will be making the move also. Yeah!

The date is a little tricky & will be happening as soon as essential renovations are complete. They expect the move to take place in October - possibly as early as October 4th, but definitely by the end of October. I will keep everyone posted as to the date via email & phone.

Next classes will start on October 6 - in one of the two locations. I will phone/email on day of class to confirm location. Also please note - there will be not be a class schedule for Monday October 13 (Thanksgiving-holiday).

Ambassadors’ Ride

My friends, Kirsten, Kathy and I performed at a multi charity event in Belle River on September 25th. $3000 was raised and four local charities shared the donations.

Here is Kirsten with her snake and myself performing to the music of area band, Moxie.

If you have a charity event and are looking for a live performance I’d be happy to hear your proposal.  I also perform at private events, birthday parties and baby and wedding showers - no bachelor parties.  Contact me for more information.

Open House Thank yous

What an amazing turn out for the Open House. The Wednesday Beginner class is now FULL. Aren’t you glad you registered early? Additionally it looks like the Monday Beginner class might fill up. Final arrangements for Mondays are still in the works but should start October 6th. I am maintaining a list of names for this class but will not accept funds until my arrangements are completed.

Also in the works - A Childrens Mother/Daughter class to run on Monday’s from 5:30-6:30 for the under 10 crowd. I’ve gotten a fair bit of interest in running this class - so we are going to try it as an experiment and see what happens. October 6 start date.

Now let me thank all the people that made the Open House a success.

Thank you so much to my friends Kirsten, Linda & Nicole for helping with set-up before & removal after of all my ‘decor’.

Thank you to my students, Andrea, MaryJane & Rachelle for performing with me, and Kirsten who wowed us with her sword routine. Special thank you to MaryJane who performed her first personally choreographed solo! I’m so proud. :)

Thank you to all those able to attend which help to make this a wonderful night for all.
